Aftermagic: Card Battles is a turn-based RPG that strips away filler and focuses on deck construction under pressure. You collect spell cards, arrange them into a functional deck, then face procedurally-generated monster encounters where every card choice determines survival. Unlike roguelike deck-builders that reward endless grinding, Aftermagic demands immediate tactical decisions—mulligan your hand, predict enemy patterns, exploit elemental weaknesses. Each run reveals new card synergies and forces you to adapt when RNG blocks your preferred strategy. Built for players who mastered Slay the Spire's relic economy or Hearthstone's tempo math. Aftermagic strips those systems down to pure card synergy and combat timing. Play in your browser across desktop and tablet without installation.

How to play

Matches begin with a shuffled deck and a health pool. You play cards manually each turn using mouse or touch input—no auto-battler mechanics. Monsters execute their attack patterns predictably, rewarding you for learning their sequences. Victory requires chaining spell effects and exploiting card combinations before enemies chip through your defenses. Between encounters, you discover new cards from defeated enemies and merchant shops, gradually shaping your deck toward synergy or raw damage output. The campaign ends when you either complete all zones or your health reaches zero, with no continues available.
