Masquerades vs Impostors is a browser-based arcade game where deception and detection collide in real-time multiplayer rounds. Players assume one of two roles: innocent Masqueraders completing tasks on intricately designed maps, or cunning Impostors sabotaging systems and eliminating opponents undetected. The game demands split-second judgment calls during emergency meetings, where discussion and voting determine who survives. Each match reshuffles team dynamics, creating unpredictable scenarios. Strategic communication separates skilled players from novices—you must read tone, track movement patterns, and identify behavioral inconsistencies. Impostors rely on alibi construction and map knowledge to execute eliminations without triggering suspicion. Masquerades vs Impostors rewards both logical deduction and psychological manipulation across varied environments. No two rounds play identically, ensuring long-term replayability.

How to play

Control your character using keyboard movement across asymmetrical maps populated with interactive task stations. Masqueraders accumulate points by finishing assignments while identifying impostors through observation and discussion. Impostors sabotage critical systems, trigger false alarms, and eliminate isolated Masqueraders using isolated vents and shadowed corridors. Emergency meetings trigger voting phases where players cast ballots to eject suspected impostors—incorrect votes strengthen the impostor faction. Tasks grant Masqueraders incremental map control and behavioral data. Impostors succeed through calculated cooldown timing between eliminations and fabricated alibis during meetings. Victory requires either eliminating all Masqueraders or completing all assigned tasks before impostors achieve their objective.
