How to play

Masquerades vs Impostors is a multiplayer game designed for 4-15 players, blending strategy, deception, and social interaction. Players are randomly assigned one of two roles: Masquerader or Impostor. **Masqueraders:** Your primary objective is to complete all assigned tasks across the map, ranging from simple repairs to complex puzzles. You must also identify and vote out the Impostors. If you discover a fallen Masquerader, report the body immediately to initiate a discussion. During discussions and emergency meetings, share observations, question suspects, and build trust. Use your communication wisely – your life depends on it! The Masqueraders win by completing all tasks or by successfully voting out all Impostors. **Impostors:** Your goal is to secretly eliminate enough Masqueraders to gain a majority, or to successfully execute a critical sabotage that the Masqueraders fail to fix in time. Impostors can sabotage critical systems (lights, communications, doors, oxygen, reactor) to create chaos, split up Masqueraders, or provide opportunities for silent eliminations. They can also use vents to move quickly and avoid detection. Impostors must blend in, feign completing tasks, create alibis, and manipulate discussions to deflect suspicion onto innocent Masqueraders. The Impostors win if they eliminate enough Masqueraders so that their numbers equal the Masqueraders'', or if a critical sabotage timer runs out.
